Hi o wise ones :) I will be moving a large pampass in the front and was wondering what be the best thing to use as a space filler near it. Not growing more than a foot may or may not spread.Flowers or not but must be ever green.

Rosemary, Sage or Lavender would be my choice.

sth with a domed or hummock shape (says the garden design book:-)

the pampas grass is a fan shape and a very strong focal point so you need sth inconspicuous next to it, therefore lavender and cistus are fine, sage depends on the type, rosemary will get a bit leggy unless you keep cutting it to avoid that
make sure, though, you have a dome which is not to small in comparison to the huge pampas grass (proportions)

kels, Cistus is usually sold in most garden centres.. try Homebase/B&Q, they both had it in last time I checked.
