Was getting all excited as we were expecting the landscaper and diggers to roll in in the next 2/3 weeks. Just had a phone call - they won't be here until 5th June!!! The whole of the garden is going to be dug up, terraced and landscaped, and so I have been nurturing things in the greenhouse and pots ready to put out begining to middle of June... now nothing is going to be ready until the end of July / beginning of August!! I understand totally their reasons, and they are being honest with me, but I am now panicking as to what to do with eveything.... I may have to go and get a job lot of buckets from b&q and plant everything in them - veg and all!!! [IMG]

Poor you - I empathise, I know what time scale of building work can be like!

We got a load of buckets that a florist was chucking out, they had no handles, but fine for startig dahlias off in, Martin drilled some holes in the bottom - a cheaper option than B & Q buckets.

How frustrating, Honey Bee! Yup - the only thing to do is make contingency plans, and that means lots of buckets!! Unless you have sympathetic friends, neighbours or relatives who would let you put some of your stuff in their gardens? Not the permanent stuff, of course, but it would let you get your veg in!! How are the tomatillos and aubergines doing? Mine aren't doing very well at all! :(
