    Hello All,

I have searched through Google and the internet and haven't found a solid answer.

I would like help identifying these little back fly's that we are getting sitting on our patio and on our grass in quite large and increasing numbers.

To my eye they just look like fruit fly's, the kind that loves a piece of banana on a sunny day but I have never noticed them congregating on garden grass and patio/coping stones before.

They can be seen flying around the lawn on warm sunny days and occasionally we find some in the house on the inside glass of the windows if we have had the windows open that day.

I have seen articles about Gnats but I don't think these look like them. And also Frit Fly but information about 'Frit Fly's seems to be limited in the wider scope of Google.

    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Cheers, Matt[IMG] [IMG]

Shore flies are abundant atm - you could have a Google and see if they may be a match.

There's a sycamore I pass daily and the leaves are covered in similar looking flies all doing their very best to make more flies
