Have a look in your directory for a sawmill, find a local one and they should be able to sort something for you.

You can always make one yourself but often the timber costs more than an off the shelf one.

Muddy sometimes the cheapest isn't always the best, you can make a better gate yourself for the same money.Hel.xxx.

Hel I agree with Pro that very often these days buying half decent wood for building things for yourself can cost more than buying a standard piece at the DIY store. Amazing. It seems that these days the only cases where you really can save money doing things for yourself is if
    1) you need something with very specific non-standard measures
    2) you want something with an unusual design

It is disappointing, I really love to build furniture, but sometimes I just can't afford it, and I have to BUY some. How absurd is this???[IMG]

It depends if you need a standard sized one. They are quite easy to make from some scrap wood if not.
