last year whilst trying to clean green mould from wall / paving stones i used a jet wash with some stuff from b&q - i think it was a special type of soap to clean mould.

would not try the jet wash approache on gravel for obvious reasons, but the cleaning agent might be an idea.

Whilst speaking to a roofer about cleaning the roof he was saying that we have much more mould / fungus / moss because the environment is cleaner i.e. not acid rain / sulpher!

some form of brick acid which burns the algae off is your best option, your local builders merchant should sell it, quite cheap and can be sprayed or watered on with a can

Evo/Thompsons Water Seal..apply with old watering can and after a few weeks the gravel will whiten.

you could leave it green for that natural look [IMG]

Unless you can prevent water and daylight from getting to the gravel you`ll probably be cleaning it over and over.

maybe wait until bad weathers over and then clean, then at least you wont feel like your banging your head off a wall.
