For anyone thinking about buying garden irrigation equipment; from Monday 6th March, ââ?¬Å?Lidlââ?¬Â will have some real bargains.
Watering Control Timer (battery powered)- £12.99
    Soaker/Sprinkler Hose 15m - £3.99
    Leaky Hose 12m - £5.99
Lots of other horticultural goodies too but from past experience ââ?¬Å?bargainsââ?¬Â in these stores sell out very quickly and are not re-stocked.

More bargains coming up on 11th March ââ?¬â?? Fruit trees - Ã?£3.99, Fruit bushes 99p. We'll miss out on these due to being away from home.

No worries Honeybee but thanks for the thought. We are in the process of reorganising the garden and until thats done we can't put in any more fruit trees or bushes.

    Hi all,

On Dave's advice, I went to LIDL at dinner - some of the stuff on the website was missing at our store, but still picked up a couple of things. Great recommendation Dave! :D

We were early birds and went in 10.00am Monday as I thought the stuff would move fast.
Came away with - watering computer, 2 x 15m sprinkler hose, 12m'leaky hose', hose fittings, garden clogs and a pair of wellies.
After buying the toys we then stocked up on veg.

I have a confession to make..... ran down to "Lidl" to stock up on said bargains... came away very disappointed as they had none in stock. Signed up to their newsletter - tore down the next week for some other bargains - not in stock again. Hmph!! Useless shop!! Walking past at the weekend - it suddenly struck me - is an "Aldi" - oooops!!!! - I'll get me coat.......... [IMG] [IMG]

    And I bet that's on a good day! ;)
    ----------------------------------

A couple of years ago, I bought one of those telescopic garden hose wands from Aldi for about £7. Saw them in B&Q later, same make, same model about £15.........I like Aldi ;)
