Your garden just gets better and better Gaz.
I'm sure those carvings will look just great in their tropical setting.

Its a good carving Gaz, but I'm just wondering how that kind of block copes with frost, you could just have a pile of dust by spring perhaps.
Or has it been frost tested before?

I know what you mean pete, those lightweight blocks are full of air holes so you would expect water to soak into them then expand and break up in the frost. Well I've left a few blocks outside over the last winter and they didn't seem to be affected - fingers crossed for you TG, they do look good!

Those were my thoughts as well.

It would be a shame to see something so good ruined. It's only a matter of time before it will happen.:(

Not had any problems with thermalites frost shattering, unless they have a salt content, so don't let the dog wee on them.

Gary, who makes them, has had several out in his garden for a number of years without any problems. Quite a few of the blocks he uses are foundation blocks which seem to be quite tough.
