    Hi Folks,
I have discovered a new form of garden pest. The symptoms were a very neat raised bed with too many slug pellets. I then noticed that my three ghoji bery bushes had disappeared. I paid good money from a seed catalogue for those and they were just ready for a prune after their first year after having planted. Next year I was expecting the first signs of fruit! However my wife had cut them down to little stumps!! I didn't say too much about it but just brought it to her attention and then I went off in a sulk! I'm ok now though and she must have meant well but I fail to understand why she cut them so near to the ground. Hpefully they might recover.

I had a similar pest last winter. The purple sprouting broccoli was just awakeing from its winter slumber when it struck. The first signs of attack were 2 of the plants lying uprooted on top of the bonfire.

I googled the symptoms & the likely culprit was a bad case of "Brotherinlawrii Pissedupia"

Yes similar situation here, my hubby was putting in a gate for me between the sheep and goat pens.

I had been moving some hibiscus, had to leave one for a while, it was covered in ants. A couple of day later in was shrivlled on the floor, he thought it was a weed :lollol:

What a shame John, but we've all made mistakes in a moment of madness.
I've been known to cut things to the ground that should have been left alone because I was in a hurry to get get round the place and tidy up.
My husband is very sweet and said very little :luv:
