Scotkat - do you need a nice garden trellis. When its covered you aren't going to see the trellis itself.

Depending on what you want, you could make something yourself. For instance I made the trellis with the Clematis Montana on it myself. see http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=003707 It consisted of 4 uprights (left hand one not visible), joined with horizontal pieces on the top. To each upright I screwed a small triangular trellis that you can buy anywhere.

There is no reason why you shouldn't make your own design. It can be as crude as mine but once it is covered you hardly see it.

Scotkat I agree with Peter get hubbie to have a go or even make one yourself it's really easy and you could make them a darn site better not to mention stronger than the ones that cost £30 plus!

Pickle them like crazy and they will last for years. [IMG] Hel.xxx.
