    Just thought i'd do a summary while its wintery:heehee:

    Water Cress in the greenhouse, this had been frozen solid in the winter but still came back.

      Great to see the pictures Ziggy! You certainly had a good healthy crop.

      Summer seems such a long time ago now.........roll on spring! :)

        Still eating it Sheal, store cuboard is still packed, freezer is bearing up, still got spuds, parsnips, sugar beet, artichokes & beetroot in the ground.

        Only things I have to buy in are bread, milk, butter, oil, vegie protein & fish, when i've not been fishing of course.

        Miraflores even tried a taste of my dandelion coffee when she visited, didn't pass comment though:D

            Just salting down the flower heads Dave, use them in pasta meals, on pizzas etc.

            Whole plant is edible but thats the best bit:dbgrtmb:

              I didn't know that Zig. Just plain old ordinary daisy flowers that appear in the lawn?

                        Just the flower buds salted down same way you'd salt runner beans. Just rinse the salt off and lob them on your Pizza or Pasta meal.

                        When I first tried Capers they were salted, from an Italian Deli. Only see pickled ones nowdays, @Loofah would probably know if you can still get them :)

                            what was the badger doing under the shed was it ok or had it been in a fight with the younger tougher brocks !!! as I know they get kicked out when old
