Here's the banana I got from LIDL a few months ago....

At some point I'm going to have to bite the bullet and plant it out.

Any views on the pups? Is the biggest one ready to part company with Mum yet?

Oh, that's a real sweetie, dendro. I've never seen banana plants in our Lidl ... we're mostly into fruit trees and rubber trees here with the occasional roses which are not the colour or demeanor they are supposed to be! :D

Keep us posted on your banana progress.

this may sound silly, but are you actually growing banana's or is it just the name of the plant?

Well, BM manages to get bananas on his - don't know if anyone else does, though! Have a look in the threads about Bananaman's hideout, and see for yourself! :D

BTW, LoL- in the little glass jar are the cestrum cuttings! One has roots already, and the other is growing flowers!! I'll be potting them up tomorrow, or even this evening!

Strangely, dendro, I was going to ask what was in the jar but posted without asking. Excellent news! [IMG] [IMG] Is it both plants? I'm sure they are the two species. Well done you! [IMG]
