1 - You have to sign up to a google acount before you can drop a pin on the map.
2 - Click on the edit button , move the map to where you live then click on the second box from the left and then put your placemark on the map.
3- you can fill in the box with a few details .

Thanks everyone thats done it so far . if we all do it , we should get a much better idea of where we are all at.
If anyones not sure send me a pm with your postcode and I'll drop a pin for you in the general area .
I don't want to know what house you live in , more just the spread of members and where everybody is.
If you send me your postcode I'll drop the pin in the general area so it may or may not be your house that shows up.

Not me. Google sells your email address when you register with them (for spamming purposes) I get enough rubbish anyway.

Sorry, Beefy, you can't have me :) I'm not in the UK.

John, maybe I live in doolally land (besides it being called Portugal) but I've never had spam from Google in the two years I've been on line .... am I in some sort of safe zone here?

By the way, I don't have any problems with being logged out so maybe I AM in a safe zone. :thumb:

I've been signed up with them for nearly a year and never had any spam from them (or anyone else for that matter) .In the 5 years I've been online I can count the number of spam emails I received ,to be less than 10 . If you are getting lots of spam tighten your security settings or use a good email client (preferably one with a built in spam filter (I use BT Yahoo)).

I put mine in - but why do you all live in the middle of T-junctions or fields?

Well, der, Sarra - you don't use your REAL email addy! [IMG] Get yourself a Hotmail account for such things. I never use my real email for anything like that.
