I've been looking around at peoples questions and answers, alot of which have helped me no end.I've now got so many ideas and jobs to do,and for that,i thank you.
Unfortunatly, one of the questions that i ask myself the most is,

    "what the hell is that?"

Could any of you brainboxes,or even Mr Webmaster compile a short forum or topic on basic gardening terms.
e.g. What is a scarifier, what are perrenial weeds, what is sharp sand????
Would anyone else like to see this?
    i,for one,would be forever gratefull.
Give it some thought,it could work.

Yes, a good idea- lots of people when starting out are puzzled by the types of plant and the names of tools etc.
Scarifier- instrument for s****ing out surface dead matter and moss etc from lawns to encourage new growth.
Perennial weeds- those which regrow every year from the same root system, like nettles.
Sharp sand- Ungraded, open textured, gritty sand.

Hey Diziblonde, maybe if one of the more computer literate types could build it and place it somewhere else, and just put the link as a forum heading.
    dyou reckon that would work?

Perhaps you should post this under member requests?

We could have an area and each Topic would be the name of the item then people could post answers in that topic, people who wanted to know what something was would start the topic.

I wonder if it could be ordered alphebetically rather than by post date as that would make it easier to see if there is already a description there before starting a new topic.

    Webmaster....over to you :D

If webmaster doesn't want it here we could do that (I could do that), lets see if we can have it here first though. ;)

Great idea, also the sub-titles and it would be even better if it could also be done alphabetically.

It can be made to stay at the top of a heading.
You could have copied it from the PM jjdecay.

I think what you may be considering is a kind of wikipeadia - an online encyclopaedia that anyone can edit.

That wouldn't be possible on this board but I know Nathan is considering moving to a board with a lot more bells and whistles where such a feature might be do-able.

In the meantime, one of you brave souls might consider starting a wiki! It's very easy to do although you do have a few hoops to jump through to join as a wiki editor.

I wouldn't be averse to helping out here and there.

that sort of thing is way beyond my abillaties, plus its me that needs to learn the gardening terms.

was hoping for a section here, where on reading a reply,i could just click once and look for the term that i didnt understand, then click back,a little more educated.

if its not possible, then so be it,was worth a try [IMG]
    thanks,
