The post by Armandii (are you a fan of the Clematis by any chance?)on the new Geoff Hamilton DVD remind me to ask what otehr gardening DVDs people can reccomend.

We have quite a collection of these already, mostly built up after UKTV gardens channel was cancelled a year or so ago.

Heres a list of some of the DVD;s we have http://alternativeeden.blogspot.com/2011/01/predictability-brings-forth-lovely.html

Which ones do everyone else have? and what are your favourites?

I have all the Geoff Hamilton DVDs as he was an inspiration to my wife and I during the early years of gardening. I still find I'm re-infused with enthusiasm whenever I view them and they leave me with a good feeling. I am a fan of clematis, amongst other plants, and I have a total of 23 different varieties around the garden. The trellised arched entrance to my garden is entirely is totally covered in Clemantis Armandii which is probably my most favourite of all , it's evergreen, repeat flowers and they smell of jasmine,
it also grows to quite a size. I have the DVD collection of Victorian Gardens but not much more so I will browse through the list you have supplied. Thanks for the info!

Around the world in 80 gardens is my current favorite, Monty has a gentle way about him that i particularly like. That said you can't beat a classic so i am off to get the new Geoff Hamilton Barnsdale DVD now i know it exists :dbgrtmb:

I agree with you, MM, about Monty. It took me a while to get used to Alan Titchmarsh, who had to try to fill Geoff Hamilton "shoes" but he did a very good job at talking to people rather that at them. Monty has that relaxed ability to do the same and it will be interesting to see how he does in the new Gardeners World series.
