Look out for open days at allotment sites. More "real" than shows and often offer very cheap plants, young veg plants etc. National Allotment Week this year is August 8-14.

Harrogate always good. Tatton Park, Hampton Court. Chelsea ok if you don't mind a squeeze (+ you can't buy plants there). Westonbirt great for design ideas. Try also garden open events, + Plant fairs by NCCPG etc. Urban Gardens v.soon but a bit up its ****. Gardener's World Live is good. Some of the RHS gardens are good. Highly recommend Heligan and Eden Project. Hope this is enough as you can guess I was v. busy last year!!
