Gardening gloves....

I have loads of gloves, sadly I keep losing one of each pair.

 

I really like Showa 310 in size Large. They can be had inexpensively on eBay and tend to last well enough and don't make my hands sweat. Always have a few sealed pairs around.

 

Yep those are the ones. Really like the soft cotton construction

 

I use similar, I'm not keen on gloves but just put my hand in some cat's you know what.
I used that type at work.

 

Seeing as I have a habit of leaving them where I can't find them again, I use the cheapest I can get!
The cotton ones with the latex/silicone tips work for most tasks, heavy duty spiny stuff gets the full on welding gauntlets

 

I don't know about cats, but there's nothing sadder than seeing an old man bend down to pick up dog poo, especially when he doesn't have a bag.....or a dog!

 

I still have a shovel and an old poker that is probably 50 yrs old at least in the garden.

I don't like wearing gloves unless it's for dirtier jobs like shifting slabs or mixing concrete etc. I just use the cheapo ones from B&Q or similar. They'll be similar to the ones you use @DiggersJo .
