    Hi

I am in the process, thanks to other members advice from this forum in turning our garden into a pretty place to sit and relax.

Can anyone recommend some decent gardening gloves, that don't cost a fortune.

    :help:

Jersey Becca...Hi there:sign0016: I buy 'Town & Country' leather gloves because I'm an accident waiting to happen and they are tough enough to protect my dannies :D, Mrs Pal prefers 'Briars 'Hide ones, robust all right but a little more flexable. Both do soak up the wet but hands stay dry. Both companies sell a wide range and I'm sure have a pair that will suit you.:)

:) Hello Becca,I favour this type of glove for gardening, it comes in various prices and widely sold in garden centres and supermarkets.
It has a great grip and all colours.......:dbgrtmb:

Becca, check out your nearest Wilkinsons, they have a decent range of gardening gloves at very good prices. I bought a pair of leather thornproof ones from them 3 years ago for £3.99 and I`m still using them.

I've got a pair of leather gloves - so old I can no longer remember where I bought them or for how much. Over the years they've moulded themselves to the shape of my hands and taken some pretty hefty nicks from secateurs etc., but they have protected me, so my advice would be, get a sturdy pair fit for the purpose, not those with pretty designs on which protect your hands from absolutely nothing.

And, if I may, can I put in a plea to the manufacturers of gardening gloves? Us ladies do 'proper' gardening, we don't just go out and pick the odd flower, nor are we great big beefy guys with huge hands ... what we need are 'proper' gardening gloves in sizes small enough to fit our much smaller hands.
