Garlic

    Hi,
    Is it too late to plant garlic for this year?.And which variety is best(I like strong garlic).

    I would think that you are a bit late for the winter planting type (It likes a bit of cold) but the Spring planting type should soon be available and that can be very good.

    I'd still chance it with the mild weather here - the garlic needs a good frosting to split into cloves, spring sown is often smaller for that reason. Why not put in half and See What Happens :rolleyes:

    We havn't had any cold here yet so I hope the garlic's going to be ok! Mine's not come up yet and I planted it at the end of october.
