    Is it to late to put my garlic in I wasn't to good Oct/Nov & I didnt get them planted any advice please cheers Mick

    With the mild weather i'd say yes, go for it.

    The reason we plant in the autumn is so it can develop root growth over winter, but this year its not only done that but put on 6 inches of top growth too:DOH::parsnip:

      I've grown garlic for the first time last year.So not an expert by any means.:)
      I bought the kind that says spring sowing, there are others that say spring or autumn planting.

      Anyway I had a very good crop, but must admit I planted in early march in 3in pots in a cold frame.
      And planted out in April.

        Worse that could happen is the blubs will be a bit smaller.

        just got back in after planting my garlic cloves & I have found out that next doors 3 tom cats or any combination of the 3 have been using my raised bed down the rear side of my poly tunnel as a toilet will it be OK to plant anthing in this raised bed in the comming months anyone please & suggestions on how to stop the cats Im very tempted to use my 22 air rifle' Mick

        Sis's cats are always pooing in my beds, never had any problems as long as you wash the veg.

        Going to have to close this thread now though i'm afraid, due to the following
