    I took these on holiday, happy healthy various geese around Caerphilly castle, i've never been so close to a moorhen so i was chuffed to snap it! :D:D:D

    We are thinking of having some geese at home - they make very good lawn mowers as they mainly eat grass.
    Canadian geese are practically thought of as vermin now:(

    Super pics, Ruby, and I just love Moorhens. Did you notice their striped toes - like socks!

    I didn't know that about the Canada geese, fmay. They are beautiful though, and I wouldn't class them as vermin.

    fmay: Canadian Geese are pretty scarce where i live unless you go to the local WWT or similar, so i was delighted to see so many, it's a shame if that is the case.

    Kedi: I didn't notice it on that particular one because of the grass but i have seen them on wildlife programmes ect... they're lovely birds, it's just a pity not many chicks out of new broods make it because of preditors :(
