My husband bought the 'Geoff Hamilton' rose last weekend, but he didn't know who Geoff was. Shocked and stunned I found some videos on You Tube of Gardeners world, and we watched his last episode, and the tribute episode from the week after he died.

My goodness, I knew that I had grown up with a love for him, but on watching him again - what an absolutely inspiring man he was!

He really had the ability to inspire, just through being himself and being such a natural communicator. How could anyone follow that? What a treasure he was.

His garden and nursery is still being run by his son and well worth a visit if you are ever near Rutland

    I always liked Geoff Hamilton.

Can't stand "The Perennial Plant Potter" (Titchmarsh). He only got the job on the death of Hamilton. He was on too many programmes, glad he went to ITV.

I always liked Geoff Hamilton, he was very "ordinary", and always seemed "normal".

Something that is lacking in most programmes that have followed him, although I dont watch much TV any more.
