germination

    can anyone help me i have sown bizzie lizzies (impatients) and penstomons three weeks ago in finely seived potting compost watered and covered with a propagator. they have been kept warm and moist but not wet and nothing has shown as yet. anybody got any ideas please, am i doing something wrong?

    Hi David, cant say as to wether your doing anything specifically wrong.
    How deep did you sow, niether would want to be more than just below the surface and the penstemon I would guess might be better surface sown.
    With these kind of seeds I tend to sow them then stand the pot/tray in water until it just shows on the surface, them put them in a propagator.

    I'VE SOWN BOTH AT QUARTER INCH IN FINE COMPOST
    SO MAY BE JUST UNLUCKY.
    NEXT YEAR I WILL DO IT YOUR WAY, AND HOPE IT WORKS FOR ME THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY
