Well, today is the day I am allowed to step into the kitchen:D It is tradition in my family for the man of the house to to make the Stuffing for Christmas lunch.
My two brothers and I have different tastes though...Youngest one prefers the Sage & Onion and my elder brother does Chestnut. I however love a blend of Onion,Sausage meat and Bread crumbs. I use some layered in the boned Turkey and the rest cooked in a bake tray and any left overs can be frozen. We find that Cranberry sauce is perfect with the Turkey and stuffing, hot or cold.
Not that keen on Chestnut and Sage tends to repeat :dh:Mine seems to be a favourite judging by the way my Bro's scoff it given an invite:)

    What do you folk have?

Personally, for turkey, I prefer Chestnut. But, OH cooked the bird today, so probably Sage & Onion.

You are all lucky being able to just go out and buy stuffing. They don't know what it is over here, so I have to bring it from England.

I found I had run out of it once when I wanted to treat myself, so had to make some (first time ever). It was OK but a bit of a fiddle. I guess if I made it more often, it would be okay.

I like the Sage & Onion best, but that Onion, Sausage and Bread Crumb one sounds good too. (No yummy British sausages over here either) Never heard of Chestnut but I think it would taste good too.

I usually make up more than we need and freeze the rest too - if I haven't picked at it and eaten it all up cold or put it on a piece of fresh white buttered bread! None of this awful black bread - shudders, the mere smell puts me off.

Now I am getting hungry too!
