All you'd have to do is put a wanted on Freecycle for a broken printer for spares, loads of folk would give you all their details.

They'd get a load of nonsense out of mine though, sort of things I scan :snork: don\'t badger me 001.jpg

Sounds scary but doesn't bother me. I rarely copy anything and most of it is rubbish.

By the time any of my machines are got rid of it's because they've given up the ghost. I have one printer that's 14 years old, a fax/copier/printer that's 13 years old and a modern printer that's no more than 8-10 years old. :heehee:

I heard about this too and I thought oh nothing on mine.. Then I thought again about all the Parish stuff.. Also we have had a couple of deaths in the family & all the certificates, details etc that had to be scanned & copied.. Frightening.. We shall just take the hard drive out of ours ourselves when it dies....

There is enough identity theft without adding to it myself.. Now we know about though so do other people, good & bad..!!!:hate-shocked:  :gaah:

Good point my friend, next time i'm asked i'll refuse unless they can guarantee the hard drive will be wiped when they get rid of the photocopier :paladin:

In the meantime, if you want to wipe your own, or anyone elses hard drive (:snork:)

                        Get one of these

Yep, any printer/scanner /copier has a hard drive in now.
