Geum Plants

    Good Morning..I have a lovely clump of bright red Geum's..which have grown to a height of about 2ft..I also planted a bright orange type but this one has only grown to form a small ground covering clump with no flowers. Although it is in the garden it almost looks pot bound.This is its
    1st year..do you think I should lift it and split up?? Thanks Dilly

    Hi Dillydo. The orange one should flower, mine is just beginning to put up shoots. Geums do benefit from splitting but it's a little late now, maybe it should still be ok to do this if you water them in very well? Perhaps see what other people think before you do anything just yet.
