Hi all - first time poster here after migrating from the Gardeners World forum!

I've recently dug up and passed down the Geums in my garden - Coral Tempest - as they were starting not to fit with the rest of my colour scheme, which is gradually becoming more and more pastel based.

I'd like to get a replacement Geum as they're such handy plants, but I want something on the pale side of things rather than 'hot'. I'm Googling lots of names but photos online can show very different things of the same plant, and I just wondered if anyone here has any Geums which aren't too dark coloured? I was thinking perhaps Mai Tai? Cosmopolitan? I also really like the look of Pink Frills, but it seems to be more of that 'nodding' Geum look and I quite like the type where the flowers are open and you can see them more. Anyone who has any geum pics to share, would love to see them!

I have Moonlight Serenade (creamy yellow) and Savannah Sunset (peachy) which are both good spreaders. No photos I'm afraid.

Mai Tai is very pretty and quite subtle.
Apricot Pearl perhaps? I used to have that but it vanished in the way Geums sometimes do.

You could maybe have a look at the East of Eden website. I used to love buying from them at the various shows :)

@AnniD lovely to see you here, assuming you came from GW :)

Funnily enough in my Googling of Savannah Sunset I discovered the East of Eden website and will now definitely be losing the next few hours of my life and no doubt quite a few of my pounds too on it :D For a Geum lover it's like being a kid in a toy shop!!

Yes, another GW refugee. It has been a good 5 years or so since I bought from them in person, but their mail order is very good, and the majority of their plants (or the offspring) are still going strong :)

I have never had much luck keeping geums going, but I could be very tempted to try Maddy Prior or Etrixia from that website. :)

Best look away before I get carried away!
