GH glazing

    Hi , i am trying to find a remedy for my glass blowing out when strong winds, as i stated yesterday, always at the rear left side, all 4 panes out, 2 smashed, i have just heard of ' BAR CAPPING ' DOES THIS WORK !!

    seal in the glass with silicone or glazing tape.

    Hi Paul, thanks for your advice, just normal silicone ? nothing special ? i will try this, ( fingers crossed ) Regards Paul.

    Sounds good to me mate. Bar Capping looks nice but is rather expensive, and a nice fillet run of translucent silicone down the length of glazing bar does the same job once cured and not unsightly either....unless you start running your fingers along it and making a mess! [​IMG]

    Haf the skill is how you cut the nozzle and the steady ness of your hand.

    One of the most usefull tools ive bought recently was a set of karl dahm silicone tools.

    Perfect silicone lines in the showeroom at home and no nasty dermatites reaction from silicone getting on my hands.

    Hi all, Thankyou for all your help and advice.. MUCHLY appreciated, i think silicone the cheapest way out... well i'll give it a go, being a novice, might make a mess.. never mind, so long as me glass stays in... < [​IMG] ))...
