    Its all leaf, too much nitrogen, Not firm headed like mine and nothing special, the taste will be awful with all that high nitrogen

    I wonder what these giant veg taste like? Not as nice as normal sized I guess. Still it is a remarkable feat growing something that large, but why bother if you have to give it away.

    Yeah I bet it tastes awful. I suppose people grow them just for the challenge.

    An apple in the supermarket is around 100 grammes, my friend grew and gave me a 716 gram whopper, it tasted better than any supermarket apple. My daughter took another one to school, it is a small school, everyone had a bit, there's about 45 of them including the staff.

    Quite impressive but I reckon 4 of those would take up all the space in my brasicca bed leaving no space for anything useful or edible.

    I grow for show and some grow to grow the biggest possible plants. I auction mine off to pay for seeds for next year after the show season.
