    Hi!

I just moved house in November and decided to make over half of my garden (the other half will be done when I have some more money!). I cleared the half of dead grasses and nothing else - that was hard work I can tell you!

Here are the before and after pics - obviously, the shrubs etc will look much better once established. I have also planted a Clematis by the fence to grow up one of the trellis.

    What do you think?

Thanks! I have more things that I want to add - maybe Ceanothus and Eucalyptus for more height.

I don't know what the tree is - it was there when I moved in but I can see some buds on it. I think it might be a blossom tree of some sort?

Hi gillypetunia, You've been working hard. I know what it's like to turn awful grass into a garden. Well done you.

My back is still aching!!! The thing is, I want to remove some of the grass on the left hand side too (you can't see it in the pic) but it's larger than the side I already cleaned up and I am dreading all those worms [IMG]

Thanks [IMG] I can't wait to do the rest now!

The greenhouse has some black eyed susan's growing up canes, 3 sunflowers and 2 tomato plants. Hope you like it.

The little tree was dead in the end, which is a shame. On that side of the garden, it is very wet and I guess the roots rotted. Hence I have planted a fur tree in a nice pot and placed it there instead!
