Has anyone any experience with these plants. I purchased two different species last year one of which died on me and the other produced masses of leaves but no flowers. The latter also grew from a 1 litre to a 5 litre pot and would have gone even larger had I potted on!

grew these in a hot border, got to over 5' with white flowers and yellow blotches, very fragrant but did not last long.
will only grow in a warm border, mainly grown in glass houses/conservatory.
    3 vars, coronarium, densiflorum, gardnerianum.
    worth growing

for a number of years now, and this is the one I find the easiest, it flowers in Sept for me.
I grow it in pots and in the border with a good mulch in winter.
Masses of feed and water seem to be the key along with a good sunny position, I have tried a white flowered one, with similar results to you chobart, loads of leaves and no flowers, I think it needs a longer growing season.
Densiflorum I also have and this appears to be totally hardy, although not so showy and no scent.

Don't tempt me, Pete!! Those look fantastic - but I have to resist temptation - I just haven't the space this year! I'll have a conservatory next winter - so that'll be the time for all thes lovely exotics! [IMG]
