I have completed it, (The petition)

It is a bit of a disgrace for most DLA claimers

You see those that know the system get it

Those that do not, and genuine human beings, try their hardest to walk
It is very painful, but they manage to get there in the end
The result according to the DWP is therefore you can walk NO DLA

The test should be a measured distance over a measured time
So yes those that try their best to beat their incapacity, still qualify

People with no legs, using artificial legs and crutches can EVENTUALLY
get from A to B suffering pain and a long period to get to B
This is not considered by the DWP as unable to walk :cry3:

Yes I have an interest as we do not get it
Yet last weekend one who does, went home from the pub and left his zimmer
    behind ?

Oh well please sign for this guy

I would like to sign but I'm going round in circles, I'm logged into Facebook on another Tab but every time I click 'Sign the Petition' it asks me to log in again then before I can a pop-ip window says 'file not found'.

I'm on Firefox, anyone else managed to sign?

      Will try again tomorrow.

Hmm, there was a documentary about the company ATOS (French) who determine who is entitled and who isn't just a few weeks ago. It highlighted that, basically, if you can move a finger, you do *not* qualify. Totally ludicrous!

Now the Paralympics are on, protests are being held on this very topic (not just for Karl but on behalf of all disabled people. It's the principle, not just one person) http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentis...abled-anger-paralympic-sponsors?newsfeed=true

It is the new Coalition Gov, They have ditched Capita, and are now using ATOS for assesement (ATOS get paid by results)

The broad picture seems OK Just because you are in a wheelchair does not mean you can not work, You can sit at a desk with a headset on and work in a call centre

The only exemptions are alchoholics, drug users and the mentally ill

There are some big shocks to come shortly

I worked at the benefit side of it
People were questioning why the child side was now paid by us, and their payment was paid by the DWP, though getting the same amount were quite happy

What they have not done is read the small print, that although the childrens payment will continue, Their payment will STOP after six months and reduce to JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) in which if you do not prove you have been actively seeking work seven days a week your benefit will cease and you will get Zilch nowt nothing

They still use the old two pound coin on the floor outside the office or the fiver under a chair (on video) :-)
