I would say if you havent been before (and probably even if you have) dont miss the palm house, temporate house and the princess of Wales conservatory.

The new alpine layout and small alpine house outside the PoW is worth a look if thats your thing, as is the grasses display next too it.

I love the walk up to the bamboo garden and minka house, when i was there in March the magnolia walk was stunning but will be too late now.

The talk from the temporate house to the japanese garden and chinese pergoda can take in a see of wild flowers, although this will be better later in the summer.

The various beds around the palm house were being re-designed in terms of the layout in March and may well be finished and have the summer bedding in.

Kew is stunning at any time of the year, and well worth the trip

I think you need at least two visits, one to do a quick look around and the second to concentrate on the places you would like to see more of.

For me its the greenhouses, all the tropicals and cacti/succulents.

But the actual gardens are great, just never had time to see both in the one visit.

Whatever you are interested in plant wise, its there somewhere

Kew is is in outer London so you don't have to go near the city Pro.
Went 4 years ago and didn't really have time for everything as it is a 3 hour journey each way from here. There is a new elevated tree walk if you have time but I guess you would want to concentrate your time on the plants. All the glasshouses have their own special interest.
I will go back again but I have Wisley to do first.:)

I'm going there on the 20th June, haven't seen the new tree walkway yet, hope it feels safe, I don't really like heights nor anything that I can feel moving underfoot (I have visions of the wobbly London Millenium Bridge)
