Just ordered a Goji berry plant from T&M. Has anyone any experience of growing one?

ORD. I found a picture of me like that on Friends Reunited. Just as well the guy who took it is dead or I'd have killed him myself. :D

    How cute, Dave. [IMG]

I shall have to investigate this plant, sounds like it would suit my climate. [IMG]

I have saved the link as well, thank you cajary.

[IMG] Yep roders is right a bout it being a new superfood supplement here, my S in L takes Goji juice daily... ;) But they have been around for a while & I was intrigued to find it has been growing in some parts of the UK in the hedgerows for a while....

[IMG] This is a pretty good link to Dave...

I'm almost tempted to order a potted one from the link you posted Marley in addition to the bare rooted one I've got on order. We've a couple of spots on south facing walls that would be ideal sites. If we can produce enough berries we'd be able to dehydrate some for use in the winter.

They've got them in our local GC for about a fiver each. (They're potted)

Thanks for that cajary. I'll hold off mail-order until I've visited a couple of out local GCs.

After listening to GQT on Sunday on BBC and hearing Bob Flowerdew saying he thought they tasted like his afghan coat we thought we had best try some before we planted any. So popped into the local health food shop and bought a couple of packets at £0.99 per 95gm. They taste lovely. Nice and sweet and a bit like raisins in texture. We've been eating them out of the packet and also adding them to stewed apples (stored since October) with our dehydrated strawberries added to muesli for breakfast.
Now 'googling' for a cheaper bulk source.

I'm going to try gojis too. Did you see that programme on BBC "Grow your own drugs"? It means drugs as in medicines, of course, and there's a recipe for chicken soup with goji at http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/features/growyourowndrugs/episode1.shtml.

I thought I might try them in pots in the greenhouse. I know they're supposed to be an outdoor hardy plant but I live in a very windy area and lots of things do better in the greenhouse.
