Since the cats have gone from next door boo hoo

The birds have returned I have a blackbird nesting in the ivy and I spoted a pair of Gold Crest visiting the garden all week just sitting on the cherry tree well low and behold they are nest building in the top of the bamboo and my huge clump goes up over 20 feet they have taken a liking to the coconut fibre in my hanging basket that has been left out since last summer !!! and remoing strands and disapearing into the bamboo so its turning into flats I have the hedgehog living in the bottom and now these on the top.

Will it be ok to put out a bird feeder with Niger seed ?? to give them a helping hand .

Goldcrests are mainly insects eater and usually only eat seeds and other bird food when desperate. Nyjer (Niger) seed are mainly for Goldfinches.
