I have a Dwarf Golden Hop Tassels that I would like to take some cuttings of. A quick Google shows that around now is a good time to take them and the preferred method is an InterNodal Cutting , a whole new ball game to me
The site below shows , in pictures , how it is done on a Clematis . But they remove all the leaves , should I not leave some leaf section on the cutting ? Anyone know how succesful this method is ?

    TIA

Sorry Harry new to me too but interesting....they probably remove all the leaves so that every bit of energy goes into the cutting itself....i'd go with that:dbgrtmb:

I should try this with clematis - I've already got more golden hop than I know what to do with! I propagate that by tearing off a bit of rooty stem. It doesn't seem necessary to be any more delicate with it. It also seeds around but I'm not sure if they are as yellow as the original. But mine is the large version, not a dwarf version.

Well I will give an internodal cutting a try this weekend .
Madahhlia , I think you recommended Golden Hop to me last year , thanks. Its only 2 foot high at the moment but the green colour of the leaf is stunning . I am always on the lookout for new climbers :blue thumb:
