I have a golden hornet in a sunny garden in sandy soil. it has been there for about 4 years.
it flowers, has green leaves, makes lots of hornets (?)or crab apples and drops its leaves, but it DOES NOT GROW!

i was wondering if anyone could suggest why this might be

i am considering lifting it, planting it a little deeper, feeding it and generally being as nice as i can to it!

hello you are on the right lines give it a good mulch now lots of well rotted compost and another go in spring it shoould of started growing by not but plants can be touchy if it was damaged at all in transit, planting or not watered enough it will take a bit longer to nestle in and get going where you have got it seems the ideal spot good luck it is a great tree birds adore it :D :D
