This morning my neighbors dog of 14 years old passed away at home with his master by his side--a good thing. I was told he went into some labored breathing and passed with his master petting him. He had been aging, loosing eyesight and hearing but still his usual friendliness. Rosco was the buddy of our first German shepherd. They played and played together. Guess they will be back to playing again now.
Rosco would always come across the property to greet me when I came home from work.
And would dutiful sit for the rewarded pet from me. Also would yelp out a hello bark when I was walking down the driveway for the mail.
Rosco was a herding shepherd, the typical black and white fluffy. I will miss him sitting on the deck. Good Bye sweet Rosco.

Oh, yes he was a good dog. And always good with the neighborhood children, no matter what size they were. Yes, looking over this morning not seeing him watching me from his deck was strange. But, it was good he lived 14 years and never sick. Thanks all. I got one of those Pet Sympathy cards for the family, delivered this morning.
