Good Pond Plant.

    CALTHA...... King Cup....Marsh Marigold.
    I have had this plant in my pond for 15 years and it never fails to please,flowers every year .

    It is a beautiful pond plant that needs no care. We have it too, but ours seems to be a shorter variety. While at a friend's birthday today, we saw that his looked like yours roders, tall and in full bloom. Ours hasn't even started to bloom yet, so it could be a different type, also ours doesn't get sun all day.

    What a lovely picture. I saw the Kingcup first in a small reserve on the broads - a truly spectacular plant - now if I had a pond that would be my first plant

    I agree, that is really lovely. Specially at this time of year when there's not too many flowers about.
    I'm just planting up my pond, must get one of those! They seem to be recommended in most of the books and articles i've read too.
    How big a container does it need to go in? I guess a smaller one at first, then bigger as it gets bigger...
