I have gaps under my leylandiis and when outside you can see into my garden. See attached image. I was wondering what would be suitable ways to block the gaps, e.g.bushes in plant pots or a even a fake bush screen along the inside of the wall hiding gaps. There’s not much space to plant new bushes as I’m having a patio there.
    Thanks

Aucuba will grow next to conifers and even underneath if they are looked after for the first year or 2 , Could try sarrcocca or mahonia repens .

For pots - bamboo - phormiums - choyisa the list is endless buy what you like but remember anything in a pot relies on you for food / water

I've got Holly growing in my mixed hedge. It's completely shaded out by the faster growing members of the little hedge community but it doesn't seem to mind. It's growing fine, albeit very slowly.

Vinca major (greater Periwinkle) tends to do very well under Leylandii hedges. They'll need watering watering for the first year or two - unless you get more rain than we do. It's tough as old boots once it has got going.
