google map problem

Our google map was updated April this year - and the street view shows Jack and I in the front garden and also the registration number on my car is easily visible.

Two things here - I am not very pleased that us two old pensioners are clearly recognisable in this shot and also I thought registration numbers were supposed to be blanked out. Am I right? Any one else had this problem and did they manage to get it fixed?

I have looked but can only find google contact addresses about incorrect details for businesses.

There is supposed to be a link somewhere on google where you can fill in an online form to have your bit removed. Its there for exactly this sort of situation. I'll see if I can find it.

the report a problem link is just to the left of centre at the bottom of the streetview screen, like this:

 

My Google map street view mustn't have been updated for at least three years . It was a sunny day when they took the photos.

I have just spent more than half an hour filling in the details of the form
but it just will not 'submit' however many times I try!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Will try again tomorrow. If it still doesn't work will have to find another
way to contact google.
