gooseberries being eaten

    by hundreds of small green catapillers. theyv'e almost eaten all the leaves already, in a few days. what should I do.

    You can get a spray that will deal with caterpillas from the garden centre but I would remove them by hand and dispose of them. Check any remaining leaves for signs of eggs and remove them as well.

    I wonder if they are sawfly lava my memory is saying that there is a gooseberry sawfly.

    Black spotted,green caterpillers. Serpents of the Sawfly :mad: Think I was on the national flight path,so gave up :(
