This is why I came here to start with but was diverted ...
The soft fruit bushes in the fruit cage are thriving, there are even small fruit on the gooseverries and promis of long strings of red, white and black currants.
But the youngest goosegberry leaves are curling and I've never seen that before, has anyone any ideas about it?
There don't appear to be any pests, I've looked. Hard.

Probably a bit of frost on them.

We haven't had any frost for weeks. Nothing else has suffered, even tender seedlings planted in the open.

My Gooseberries have curled leaves on the new shoots as well.
The berries are growing well so I am not worrying about the curl.
I'm just grateful they're fruiting. Last year was the first time after 7 years of nothing. Last year the neighbour hacked 40' off his Beech tree and the bushes saw daylight.
I am going to have to hack them back after fruiting. They've gone ballistic since they saw the light.
