Goshawk has chicks

That's great Robert - good pic but rather noisy. I've noticed the same noise on another RSPB nest cam.

'Our' osprey hatched 3 eggs but one chick died, probably due to the cold wet weather.

 

I looked this morning, there appears to be two chicks. I hope they survive.:thumb:

We have a pair of Marsh Harriers nesting on the RSPB reserve here (about 1/4 mile from my house.
If they hatch it will be the first time in Dorset for 50 years.

Shame about the Osprey Dave.:(

 

Fantastic! Lucky you to have them so close to your house. Ididn't know they were that far west.

 

Red, a gradual increase over the years as with the Peregrines but we will wait with baited breath to find out if they have bred.

 

Have you checked out these guys laterly?
Its amazing how they grow so quick.

No sign of them on the nest, looks like they have flown.

 

They have probably been 'eating out' today.:D

 

Just had a look and one of the adults is tucking into a meal by itself (now the kids have gone).

 

They sometimes hide behind the tree on the left. You can see the odd wing stick out. Theres one feeding as I look now

Clematis, (hope no one minds me posting these), here is a adult and a young Baldie, seen on a raft trip on the Snake river (Jackson Wyoming) last august. It made my day.
