Grafting a new top on to a treefern

    It looks like my 4 !!! treeferns have not survived the winter I did protect over the winter but not enough I supose, I had minus 10 four days solid and I lost cout of the other minus over the past couple of months ....

    So I thought if they have not made it rather than pay out ££££ I could buy a couple of 1 foot trunks and fix them to the top

    Are you sure they are dead Spruce? I'd leave it a few more weeks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, I know how expensive they are.

    I have three 4ft ones which I have had for 6/7 years and it's not looking good .They seem to be all squashy in the centres where as normally you can feel the nice solid fronds. I have put them in my tunnel and will leave them to see how they fair ,not sure if fronds can push up from below?
