    225 g (8 oz) Be-Ro Self Raising Flour
    pinch salt
    25 g (1 oz) brown sugar
    50 g (2 oz) chopped walnuts
    75 g (3 oz) raisins or sultanas
    1 x 15 ml spoon (1 tbsp) golden syrup
    150 ml (�¼ pint) milk






    1 Heat oven to 180�ºC, 350�ºF, Gas Mark 4. Grease a 15 cm (6 inch) cake tin.
    2 Place all dry ingredients in a bowl, add walnuts and fruit.
    3 Beat to a soft mixture with syrup and milk.
    4 Place in the cake tin and bake for 45 minutes.
    5 Serve warm with butter.
