Hi guys I have put a grape vine in my polytunnel probably about tree months ago it has started to leaf but not loads mainly down on the bottom of the steams about a month ago and does not seam to be doing much growth is this normal for a new vine I can not tell you the name apart from its blue grapes
I know it will not fruit this year but thought it would put on some new growth
Am I just been inpatient ?

Yes, mine has only just begun to sprout, very slow this year. By the end of the season it will have put out 10 foot growths.

Mine, in the greenhouse [but planted outside] tends to be late-to-leaf every year.

Something I do have an abundance of is grape vines and to go with them you also need an abundance of patience. They are very rewarding, especially if you are a wine maker, and will give you years of enjoyment. :)
