    Question from a newcomer.
I am in the process of buying a house with a well-established grapevine on a south facing wall. I guess that it is some 20 years old, appears to have been well trained and bears a lot of black fruit. The previous owner is deceased, so I can't ask for more information. Unfortunately it is in an area which I want to use for an extension! Is it worth trying to move it? I gather that vines have long tap roots and this one would be hard to get at. Past experience of transplanting established vines has been poor. Any advice?
