Grapevine

    I have a Grapevine coming up, every year it looks like it is on its last legs but i have noticed all the leaves have got things on them that look like warts,i was wondering whether to cut it down or leave it,i just haven't got a clue to what i am doing .

    If it is, it's a notifiable disease, and Defra have to be informed.

    Otherwise it could be oedema caused by wet soil and a damp atmosphere. To cure it, stop watering and improve ventilation, and I'm told the condition should then clear up on its own.
