Hi all - I have this grass in the front garden - do I cut it back so the new green growth will show through and if so, do I do it now? Thanks [IMG]

Yes and yes, I am just in the middle of doing our grasses now. The only ones you do not need to cut back to ground level are the ever coloured ones and even those will not suffer if you do.

Just a note: When cutting back wear good leather gloves. Most grasses, especially when dried, have extreemly sharp edges and the 'paper cuts' are painfull and can take a long time to heal.

if you have PAMPAS grasses, only remove the dead, do not cut to the ground.

Used to apply the flame gun to ours in winter. It worked fine and we always got new shoots.
