Normally grass seed has been treated with a bird repellant anyway Cymro. so I wouldn`t worry about them.:gnthb:

Farmers use cd's, which they hang from branches of trees, perhaps a washing line could be an improvisation.

When sowing grass seed, I tend to leave extra seed on top so that if the birds get to it, they ain't pinching what needs to be growing.

    Hope this Helps!
